Berbera – (warsoor) – Three local journalists were jailed while another one is being hunting by the police today at seaport Berbera city, after appealed city county mayor of Berbera to arrest them.
The three journalists whom were arrested are: Ahmed Saed Mohamed Director Kalsan TV Berbera, Abdirahman Mohamed Ige Director SOMNEWS Berbera and Mubarik Osman Saed (Nirig) Star TV Station Berbera Director.
While police are searching for Mohamed Abdilahi Sofadhiste who is director of Somali channel Berbera Station and still disappeared.
Journalists’ detention is in connection to a press release held by a member of Berber city council member who demanded mayor and government who welcome the delegation of DP world to expose to the details of the business agreement with the company and the government.
The Mayor of Berber Mr. Abdirizaq idin told to the Journalists not to release press conference of the member of berbera municipality, but none of the accept that appeal and broadcasted to their TV station. The mayor eventually orders to arrest them.
