Mogadishu – (warsoor) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia His Excellence Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud flanked by the Prime Minister of Somalia Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke have on Monday received a delegation from the United States of America spearheaded by the Secretary General of the American foreign secretary of the African affairs Mr. Bruce Wharton.
The President of Somalia has briefed the American delegation the current political development, the preparation for the forthcoming election in the country in the year 2016, the security situation and the fight against the Al-Shabab militants.
The delegation has highly welcomed the brief statement made by the President of Somalia to them, and have said that the forthcoming election in the country will be a very impressive step carried forward to handle the tense security situation not for only Somalia, but for the entire countries in the region.
“The USA will fully forever keep its diverse support for Somalia, till the country stands back on its feet” said Mr. Wharton.
The other point which the President and the Prime Minister have jointly raised for the delegation was to support in the plan to intermix the Somali national force.
Finally the President and the Prime Minister have thanked the support which the USA government offers to Somalia.
