Sports – (warsoor) – Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo was carried off on a stretcher in tears with a suspected knee injury early in the Euro 2016 final against France.
The Real Madrid forward suffered the injury in the 17th minute and went off for treatment before coming back on.
Ronaldo, 31, tried to play on with a bandaged knee after a tackle by France forward Dimitri Payet.
But he threw his captain’s armband to the ground in the 25th minute, unable to continue.
