Manchester United and Liverpool have made enquiries for Chelsea target Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The Monaco midfielder is expected to move to Stamford Bridge as the Premier League champions prepare a £40million offer for the 22-year-old.
However, United, Liverpool and Paris St Germain have all made enquiries via his representatives.
The France international would be interested in a move to Old Trafford should he fail to reach agreement with Chelsea.
Like many of Europe’s elite clubs, United have taken a keen interest in Monaco’s squad with Bernardo Silva, Fabinho and Kylian Mbappe also on their summer wishlist.
Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic is another option for United’s midfield while a move for Eric Dier at Tottenham has been discussed but deemed unlikely.
Monaco’s 23-year-old Brazilian Fabinho is also wanted by Manchester City while Real Madrid have pushed for Mbappe.
Monaco have already lined up Youri Tielemans from Anderlecht as a replacement for Bakayoko.
They are also offering contract extemsions to Radamel Falcao and Mbappe.
