Djibouti – (warsoor) – Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mr. Hassan Ali Khaire, who is on an official visit to Djibouti, met today at the Presidential Palace with his brother the President of the Republic of Djibouti,H.E. Mr. Ismaïl Omar Guelleh.
The meeting between the Somali Prime Minister and the Djiboutian President focused on several political and security aspects in the regional and international developments of common concern, as well as means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of security, agriculture, economy and telecommunications.
The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mr. Hassan Ali Khaire, praised the vital role of Djibouti in African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM), noting the multi-purpose relations and cooperation between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples. He also thanked the warm welcome and hospitality, pointing out that the common relations between the two countries are historical and distinct.
For his part, the President of Djibouti, H.E. Mr. Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, said that the government and people of Djibouti will continue their efforts until things are in the right direction and restore the glory and status of Somalia, as is known previously, referring to the strength of historical relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, expressing Djibouti’s keenness to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
